CONSIDER TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT
A single line phone operates on the battery power supplied by the telephone company. In the event of a utility power failure you can still make and receive calls.
Multi-line phone systems rely on utility power for many of their operations. In the event of a utility power failure you may not have phone service.
If yours is an emergency service, a hospital, doctor's office this is critical.
If you are a stock broker, realtor or sales organization, you may temporarily be unable to conduct business.
CONSIDER PANELBOARDS
Most power outages are a result of a tripped breaker in the facility, not a utility failure.
The maintenance man know the location of the panelboard and probably has a flashlight. If there were an emergency lighting unit illuminating the panelboard, anyone could see the location and wouldn't need a flashlight to reset the tripped breakers.CONSIDER FIRST AID STATIONS
If someone was hurt during a power outage, wouldn't it be prudent to have the first aid station illuminated so even a band-aid could be found?CONSIDER HAZARDOUS AREAS
In a factory there may be rotating machinery or hot solder pots. In making a safe exit egress, having these areas illuminated could prevent serious injuries.CONSIDER RESTROOMS
In a retail store, customers may not be familiar with the surroundings. Being trapped in a restroom, unable to easily locate the exit, and upon exiting, not having clothing in proper array may not only be embarrassing to the customer but also costly to the store in customer relations and litigation.
Our long years of experience in the emergency lighting and power field provide ELESCO with the capability of providing knowledgeable recommendations on various equipment to meet a variety of applications.
